It's hard to read former world champion Oscar De La Hoya these days. One day he's staying retired for good, the next day he's thinking about a comeback, and the next day he wants to fight Floyd Mayweather or Gennady Golovkin. His latest confusion came last night when he let loose another tweet to get the boxing fans going.
"The only possible way I make a comeback, @FloydMayweather vs GGG in September and I fight the winner next year." De La Hoya stated.
No one knows if Oscar is serious or not but the chances of Floyd Mayweather fighting Golovkin next are slim to none. Golovkin fights at 160 while Mayweather has never weighed above 152 for a fight. Even if they met at 154 Golovkin would have a huge size advantage. Mayweather his expected to announce his next opponent within the next few weeks. De La Hoya is likely to stay retired.
