Lucian Bute next fight August 15th on PBC

According to a report by boxingscene, former super middleweight champion Lucian Bute (31-2, 24 KO's) will return to the ring on August 15th at the Bell Centre in Montreal. The fight will be televised by the PBC. Earlier this year Bute signed with manager Al Haymon. It's been over a year in a half since Bute last stepped into the ring. In January of 2014 he lost a unanimous decision to light heavyweight champion Jean Pascal. Bute was outclassed the entire fight but was able to rally in the last round and almost score a late KO. Bute was considered one of the most dangerous fighters in the super middleweight division at one point in his career. He'll be looking to start fresh with the PBC in hopes of returning to the spotlight in the light heavyweight division.
