Robert Easter vs. Luis Cruz Fight Preview

Undefeated lightweight champion Robert Easter will defend his title in his hometown, of Toledo, Ohio at the Huntington Center, against Puerto Rican Luis Cruz. The event will take place on Friday, February 10th live on Bounce TV at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.

Robert Easter, was last seen in the ring back in September when he faced Richard Commey. Easter pulled of a close split decision to win the vacant IBF World lightweight title, scores judges: Ron McNair 115-112, John McKaie 113-114, Craig Smith 114-113. Currently undefeated sporting a 78% knockout ratio he is coming into the ring looking to put on his best performance in his backyard. Easter had an impressive 2015 fighting four times winning all by knockout. leading into 2016 fighting twice.

Luis Cruz, has not had a very successful couple of years. He is coming off a draw against Ivan Redkach, during the fight Redkach was down in round 2 & Cruz was down in rounds 8 & 9. He does have some notable fighters on his record, Jose Felix Jr & Edner Cherry, both he lost against. However he does owns victories over Martin Honorio, Antonio Davis and Hevinson Herrera.

I don't envision Robert Easter, having a tough night. I expect him to win by a mid fight knockout. Easter is long, strong and likes to mix things up.

Also on the card is Rau'shee Warren taking on Zhanat Zhakiyanov for the WBA Super World bantamweight title. Jamel Herring will be taking on Art Hovhannisyan in a 10 round lightweight battle.
