Alfonso Gomez has pulled out of the Jessie Vargas fight scheudle for the undercard. Alfonso Gomez sites suffering from severe back spasms. Golden Boy CEO Richard Schaefer told ESPN.com that the company was working on finding a replacement to face Vargas next week.

Mayweather vs Cotto undercard is starting to shape up with Saul Canelo Alvarez taking on Shane Mosley in the co-feature.

Alvarez is looking to return as the co-feature for Mayweather vs Cotto May 5th. The two opponents being discussed are former three division champion Shane Mosley and Canelo's mandatory challenger James Kirkland. Kirkland is schedule to fight in March.

Today Mayweather met with the Nevada Athletic Boxing Commission. During the hearing to obtain his boxing license for a May 5th fight date. They granted him a one time conditional license. The conditions are that he report to jail on June 1st with no extensions and he does not get into trouble before the fight.

During this review Mayweather announced that he will be fighting Miguel Cotto on May 5th. The fight will be @ 154lbs both fighters have agreed to Olympic-style drug testing for the fight.
