"I will not fight. The doctors recommended more rest after the gallbladder operation and I think in a fight that is so important, it is best not to give any advantage to a fighter like Danny Garcia. I didn't ask them to cancel the fight, only to postpone the date. We'll see what we can set this week" Morales told Sal Rodriguez.

Erik Morales was taken to a hospital in Mexico City to undergo gallbladder surgery. Morales had gallstones removed the procedure was minor & he is recovering. Doctors advised Morales to rest for ten days. Danny Garcia is up in the air for now
