This Fridays epic Featherweight Battle on ESPN+

Italian contender Francesco Grandelli will face Spain’s Cristobal Lorente in a 12-round main event for Lorente’s European Union featherweight title this Friday, Dec. 13, at the Palazzetto Dello Sport Carbonia in Carbonia, Italy.

The Grandelli-Lorente fight, along with the undercard bouts, will be streamed live and exclusively in the U.S. on ESPN+ starting at 3 p.m. ET/12 p.m. PT.

Grandelli (18-3-2, 4 KOs) is coming off a strong rebound following his 2023 loss to Mauro Forte. He secured a decision win over Emiliano Salvini in July and then delivered a second-round stoppage of unbeaten Stefan Voda in December. The 30-year-old returns to Italy after suffering a decision defeat against Scotsman Nathaniel Collins in May. Lorente (19-0-1, 8 KOs), an eight-year professional, is fresh off a standout victory over Forte, winning a 12-round majority decision in July to capture the European Union title.
