Super Middleweight Collision: Melikuziev vs. Fulghum Set for May 30 Showdown on DAZN

The super middleweight division heats up on Friday, May 30, when Uzbekistan’s Bektemir “Bek” Melikuziev (15-1, 10 KOs) meets unbeaten Houston native Darius “DFG” Fulghum (14-0, 12 KOs) in a high-stakes WBA Super Middleweight Title Eliminator. The 12-round clash will headline a special edition of Golden Boy Fight Night on DAZN, live from The Theater at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas.

Eric Priest (15-0, 8 KOs) returns in a 10-round middleweight co-main event. His opponent will be announced soon.

2024 Olympian Joshua “Good” Edwards (1-0, 1 KO) steps back into the ring for a six-round heavyweight bout after a dominant pro debut.

Undefeated super welterweight Federico Pacheco Jr. (8-0, 6 KOs) takes on Calvin Barnett (5-2, 2 KOs) in a six-rounder.

Cayden Griffiths (4-0, 4 KOs) looks to extend his knockout streak in a six-round welterweight opener.

Fighter Backgrounds

Bektemir Melikuziev, a fierce body puncher with an elite amateur pedigree, won silver at the 2016 Olympics and turned pro in 2019 with a first-round KO. He most recently earned a hard-fought split decision win over David Stevens in November 2024, and is now closing in on a world title opportunity.

Darius Fulghum, a former National Golden Gloves champion, has quickly emerged as one of the division’s brightest prospects. With a perfect 14-0 record and 12 KOs, the Houston native and licensed nurse trains at LA’s Brickhouse Boxing Club alongside elite names like Zurdo Ramirez. His most recent win came via fourth-round knockout in February 2025.
