The bout headlined a special edition of Golden Boy Fight Night live on DAZN from The Theater at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas.
Melikuziev faced plenty of adversity throughout the night, including a cut near his left eye sustained in the fourth round and a point deduction for holding in the seventh. Despite the setbacks, he sealed the win with a knockdown in the final round, showcasing grit and determination.
“We went through a lot in this camp, so this win means everything—especially with my baby on the way,” said Melikuziev. “Thanks to Golden Boy, Oscar De La Hoya, and my team at the Diaz Training Camp. I’m ready to fight anyone—Caleb Plant, anyone at the top of the division.”

In the co-feature, undefeated Eric Priest (16-0, 8 KOs) retained his WBA Continental North America Middleweight Title with a dominant performance over veteran Luis Arias (22-5-1, 11 KOs) of Milwaukee. Over 10 rounds, Priest outboxed Arias, who was deducted a point for punching after the break in round two and suffered a cut above his left eye in the third.
The judges scored the fight unanimously for Priest: 99-90, 96-93, and 99-90.
