Mickey Bey Dominates Oscar Escandon in Main Event of “The Future Is Now: Series II”

Boxing legend Danny Garcia’s Swift Promotions returned Saturday night with “The Future Is Now: Series II” at the Newtown Sports & Events Center in Newtown, Pennsylvania. The card featured a standout performance from veteran lightweight contender Mickey “Time Machine” Bey, who scored a dominant third-round TKO over fellow former world champion Oscar Escandon.

The event streamed live via Millions.co and the Millions App.

Bey (26-3-1, 14 KOs), now training out of Philadelphia, overwhelmed Escandon (27-10, 18 KOs) from the outset. The Cleveland native rocked Escandon with a left hook in the first round and opened a steady cut. A knockdown in the second followed by a sharp flurry in the third forced referee Eric Dali to step in at 2:03 of round three.

“I felt like a kid in a candy store,” Bey said post-fight. “I knew what he was looking for, but I just stuck to what we trained for. I’m older now, that’s why I’m the ‘Time Machine.’ I’ve probably got a few fights left—just here for a good time, not a long time. Big plans are ahead.”
