Rising Dominican Star Rohan Polanco Set for July 26 Bout at Madison Square Garden

Undefeated Dominican welterweight standout Rohan Polanco will return to the ring on Saturday, July 26, in a 10-round clash against seasoned veteran Quinton Randall at The Theater at Madison Square Garden.

Polanco will share the spotlight with fellow Dominican and knockout artist Yan Santana, who is set to make his New York City debut in a 10-round featherweight bout against former world title challenger Aaron Alameda of Mexico.

Both matchups will be featured on the ESPN+ undercard, leading into a primetime tripleheader airing on ESPN at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT, headlined by the vacant WBO junior middleweight world title fight between Xander Zayas and Jorge Garcia.

Promoted by Top Rank, in association with Zanfer Boxing and Golden Boy Promotions, tickets are available now at Ticketmaster.com.

Polanco (16-0, 10 KOs), currently ranked No. 7 by the WBO, earned his standing with a dominant win over Fabian Maidana in May. An Olympian who represented the Dominican Republic in Tokyo, Polanco trains under Hector Bermudez in Springfield, Massachusetts. Since signing with Top Rank in 2023, he has remained undefeated, posting a 3-0 record in 2024 and opening his 2025 campaign with a second-round knockout of Jean Carlos Torres.

Randall (15-2-1, 3 KOs), based in Houston, Texas, has won two of his last three fights since a 2023 loss to Brian Norman Jr. under the Top Rank on ESPN banner.

Santana (14-0, 12 KOs), co-promoted by Miguel Cotto Promotions, began his career primarily fighting in Puerto Rico. The 25-year-old made his Top Rank debut last June with a decisive win over Brandon Valdes and most recently earned a shutout victory over Edwin Palomares in April. His opponent, Alameda (30-2, 17 KOs), previously challenged for the WBC junior featherweight world title in 2020, falling short against Luis Nery. He’s since rebounded with five consecutive wins, including four by knockout.

Additional ESPN+ Undercard Action:

Bakhodir Jalolov (15-0, 14 KOs), a two-time Olympic heavyweight representing Uzbekistan, will return to U.S. soil for the first time in nearly two years in a 10-round bout against Italy’s Gianmarco Cardillo (12-1-2, 2 KOs). Jalolov recently captured gold at the 2024 Paris Olympics and resumed his professional career in April with a decision win over Ihor Shevadzutskyi.

Rising junior bantamweight Steven “Kid Dynamite” Navarro (6-0, 5 KOs), from Inglewood, California, continues his push toward title contention in his second scheduled eight-rounder, facing Cristopher Rios (11-2, 7 KOs). Navarro made an explosive pro debut last April and has been steadily climbing the ranks since.
