Vito Mielnicki Jr. Shines in Homecoming Victory Over Kamil Gardzielik

Middleweight prospect Vito Mielnicki Jr. made a successful return to his home state on Saturday night, securing a dominant 10-round unanimous decision win (100-89 x3) over Poland’s Kamil Gardzielik at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

The 23-year-old Mielnicki (21-1-1, 12 KOs) dropped Gardzielik (19-1, 4 KOs) in the second round with a sharp right hand as the Polish fighter briefly switched to a southpaw stance. Rather than chasing an early stoppage, Mielnicki maintained discipline and stuck to his game plan, controlling the fight behind a steady jab and mixing in sharp right hands, uppercuts, and body shots.

“I was happy with my performance,” said Mielnicki. “The focus was on staying composed and sticking to the plan—even after hurting him. We worked on setting up that double right hand in camp, and it showed tonight.”

The New Jersey native added, “As a kid, I dreamed of headlining here. I feel truly blessed.”

Jahi Tucker Edges Lorenzo Simpson in Heated Rivalry Bout

In a grudge match fueled by weeks of online trash talk, Jahi Tucker (15-1-1, 6 KOs) scored a hard-fought 10-round decision over Lorenzo Simpson (15-3, 9 KOs), winning on the judges’ cards 96-94 and 97-93 (twice).

The animosity spilled into the ring early as both fighters exchanged heavy blows at close quarters. Simpson found success with body shots and straight lefts, but Tucker’s consistent power punching and relentless pressure made the difference.

By the middle rounds, Tucker began walking Simpson down, absorbing punches to land combinations. He later switched to a more tactical approach, boxing from the outside and landing clean right hands and uppercuts while staying mobile.

“The difference was I wanted it more,” said Tucker. “There’s no real bad blood—just two fighters giving everything for their futures. He came to fight, and so did I.”

Damian Knyba Stops Marcin Siwy in Battle of Polish Heavyweights

In an all-Polish heavyweight showdown, Damian Knyba (16-0, 10 KOs) remained unbeaten with an eighth-round TKO victory over fellow countryman Marcin Siwy (25-1-1, 12 KOs).

Towering at 6’7”, Knyba used his reach and jab to control distance, keeping Siwy at bay as the shorter fighter tried to close the gap. Although early rounds were filled with clinching, Knyba began to take over in the middle rounds, digging to the body and landing clean shots around Siwy’s guard.

As the fight wore on, Knyba’s power took its toll, battering a bloodied Siwy until he was deemed unable to continue after the eighth.
