Paul-Chavez Jr Fight Purses Revealed

The California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) has disclosed the guaranteed purses for the highly anticipated pay-per-view boxing card headlined by Jake Paul versus Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., set for Saturday, June 28, 2025, at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. According to boxing journalist Dan Rafael, the financial stakes for the fighters reflect the event’s mix of social media stardom, veteran prowess, and rising talent.

Leading the card, Jake Paul, the YouTuber-turned-boxer, is guaranteed $300,000, while his opponent, former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., will earn $750,000. The disparity highlights Chavez Jr.’s established name in boxing, despite Paul being the betting favorite. In the co-main event, unified WBA and WBO cruiserweight champion Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez commands the highest purse at $1.5 million as he defends his titles against Yuniel Dorticos, who is set to earn $300,000.

The undercard features notable payouts as well. Welterweight Raul Curiel will pocket $125,000 against Victor Ezequiel Rodriguez, who earns $65,000. Avious Griffin and Julian Rodriguez, both welterweights, are each guaranteed $30,000. In the lightweight division, Floyd Schofield and Tevin Farmer will each receive $125,000. Former UFC champion Holly Holm, returning to boxing, is set for a $100,000 purse, while her opponent, the unbeaten Yolanda Vega, will earn $22,000.

These figures, reported by Dan Rafael on X, underscore the financial draw of the event, blending crossover appeal with traditional boxing talent. Fans can catch the action live on DAZN PPV, with the main broadcast starting at 8 p.m. ET.
