Promoters Nelson Lopez and Joshua Chasse of Global Combat Collective announced Friday that former heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder will return to the ring on June 27 for a 10-round showdown against Tyrrell Herndon in Wichita, Kansas. Wilder, 39, has managed only one victory in his past five fights. He was brutally knocked out by heavyweight contender Zhilei Zhang this past June and, before that, suffered a lopsided 12-round defeat at the hands of former champion Joseph Parker.
