Jared Anderson Returns Against Solomon Dacres on Wardley-Dubois Card

Jared Anderson is set to take on Solomon Dacres in a heavyweight clash on May 9 at Co-op Live Arena in Manchester, England, as part of the Fabio Wardley vs. Daniel Dubois undercard, Queensberry Promotions confirmed Thursday.

The promotion unveiled the featured undercard bouts via social media, highlighting several all-British matchups: Jack Rafferty vs. Ekow Essuman at junior welterweight, Liam Cameron vs. Bradley Rea at light heavyweight, and Khaleel Majid vs. Gavin Gwynne, also at junior welterweight.

Anderson (18-1, 15 KOs), the lone non-British fighter on the main undercard, adds intrigue to the event. The 26-year-old from Toledo, now based in Houston, last fought in February 2025, earning a unanimous decision over Marios Kollias at Madison Square Garden. He is still working to rebound from his August 2024 knockout loss to Martin Bakole—a defeat that reshaped the trajectory of one of the division’s most promising young heavyweights.

Dacres (10-1, 3 KOs), a 32-year-old from Warley, remains relatively untested. He was stopped in the first round by David Adeleye in December 2024 in his toughest outing to date. Still, the matchup presents a timely opportunity for both fighters looking to reestablish momentum.

At junior welterweight, Jack Rafferty (26-0-1, 17 KOs), currently ranked No. 12 by the WBC, is positioning himself for a title shot, while Ekow Essuman (22-2, 8 KOs), 36, could be entering a must-win scenario late in his career.

In the light heavyweight division, Liam Cameron (24-7-1, 10 KOs), 37, faces pressure to remain relevant, while Bradley Rea looks to bounce back after his seven-fight winning streak was snapped by Lyndon Arthur.

Meanwhile, Gavin Gwynne (18-4-2, 5 KOs) enters with a 1-2-1 record in his last four bouts and, at 35, must prove he’s more than a stepping stone. For Khaleel Majid (16-0, 4 KOs), the bout represents a clear step up in competition.
