It was an exciting night of Friday Night Fights as Kevin Bizier (20-0, 14 KO’s) was nothing short of impressive in his 9th round TKO win over veteran Nate Campbell (36-10, 26 KO’s). Campbell’s corner stopped the fight due to what they said was a back injury that wouldn’t allow Campbell to continue. Not that finishing the fight would have changed anything. Bizier kept Campbell on the ropes most of the fight, brutalizing him with combinations to both the body and the head. Bizier stayed poised throughout the fight despite Campbell’s ability to take a lot of his shots.
Opening the show, Featherweight Baha Laham (10-0, 4 KO’s) remained undefeated by scoring a majority decision over Tyler Asselstine (12-1 7 KO’s). Laham fell behind early on the scorecards but continued to gain ground by continuously pressuring Asselstine while landing vicious body shots throughout the entire fight. Asselstine’s superior speed slowed as the rounds progressed while the body shots seemed to halt his quick feet as he was forced to fight Laham on the inside for most of the fight, which ended up working in Laham’s favor.
