Taylor and Abdusalamov score TKO's on Friday Night Fights

It was an exciting night for ESPN Friday Night Fights as the main event and co-main event were filled with action packed rounds. In the main event of the evening, Emannuel Taylor (17-1, 12 KO's) came back from being dropped in the 5th round to score a 8th round TKO over veteran Victor Cayo (31-4, 22 KO's). The action packed fight was filled with drama as Taylor hurt Cayo at the end of the 2nd round. Cayo then seemed to take control with quick combinations and out throwing Taylor. Cayo dropped Taylor in the fifth round with a lead right hook from the south paw stance and seemed to be taking control of the fight. However Taylor didn't stop the pressure. It was Taylor's continuous pressure and hard body shots that eventually slowed Cayo down later in the fight, leading to a 8th round TKO stoppage.

Opening up the card, heavyweight prospect Magomed Abdusalamov improved to 17-0, 17 KO's after stopping Victor Bisbal (21-2, 15 KO's) in the fifth round in another exciting bout. Bisbal came out strong landing clean punches against the favored prospect but Abdusalamov withstood everything Bisbal threw, and used his overwhelming power to eventually stop Bisbal to claim his 17th knockout in as many fights.
