Peter Quillin vs Gabriel Rosado set for Oct 26

Highly regarded WBO middleweight champion Peter "Kid Chocolate" Quillin (29-0, 21 KO's) will return to the ring October 26th to square off against Gabriel Rosado (21-6 13 KO's) at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. Quillin is coming off a dominate performance over Fernando Guerrero back in April. He is regarded as one of the best middleweights in the world, and has been waiting for a shot to get to some of the top guys in his weightclass. The problem is that most of the top middleweights that Quillin wants, guys like Gennady Golovkin, Sergio Martinez, and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, are all HBO fighters. Because of the network issues between Showtime and HBO, the fights are highly unlikely to happen anytime soon and therefor Quillin has been forced to look elsewhere for foes.

Rosado, despite having six losses on his resume, is considered a formidable opponent who applies pressure and loves to fight. He is coming off a controversial no contest with J'Leon Love. Rosado initially lost to Love in a controversial split decision, however the fight was changed to a no-contest after Love tested positive for a banned substance. Rosado has been in the ring with the best, including a 7th round TKO loss Gennady Golovkin, whom many considered as the best middleweight in the world right now.
