Chavez Jr wins controversial decision over Vera

It was a rough controversial week for Chavez Jr, and Saturday night at the StubHub Center in Carson, CA, the controversial week only continued. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr defeated Bryan Vera by a controversial Unanimous Decision with scores of 98-92, 97-93, and 96-94. Chavez Jr looked slow, sluggish, and barely threw any combinations throughout the entire fight as Vera pressured him with combination after combination. Vera landed more punches than Chavez Jr, however Chavez Jr was able to land hard punches that stimulated the crowd and perhaps swayed some perspective from the judges. Most media outlets on twitter had Vera winning the fight with a 96-94 scorecard while tons of fans thought Vera dominated the entire fight. FightNights scored the fight 97-93 for Bryan Vera.
