Richard Schaefer from Golden Boy Promotions reported to ESPN today that Adrien Broner (27-1, 22 KO's) as decided to exercise his rematch clause against Marcos Maidana (35-3, 31 KO's). Broner lost the WBA World welterweight championship to Maidana in December. The rematch is expected to take place in late April. Originally it was reported that there was no rematch clause in the contract however that doesn't seem to be the case. The first fight between Broner and Maidana was a thriller and the second fight is likely to generate even more buzz with just as much excitement when they square off in the ring.
