Shawn Porter (24-0, 15 KO's) was able to retain his belt and remain undefeated as he shocked much of the boxing world by destroying former world champion Paulie Malignaggi (33-6, 7 KO's) with a fourth round TKO. Before the fight many thought that it was a 50/50 fight. Porter made his overwhelming power felt right from the opening round as he attacked Malignaggi with quick flurries and wide punches that seemed to make Malignaggi uncomfortable from the first round. Porter continued to land a hard jab, strong body shots, and huge haymaker left hooks to stun Malignaggi more than a few times in the fight. After being hurt in round three Malignaggi was dropped early in round four. He never seemed to recover as Porter would once again put Paulie on the ropes and unleash a barrage of punches that would send Malignaggi half way out of the ring. The referee called the fight seconds later.
