Alexander batters Soto-Karass over ten

Devon Alexander (26-2, 14 KO's), usually known to put on less than spectacular fights, showed that he has everything that it takes to be exciting as he battered Jesus Soto-Karass (28-10, 18 KO's) over ten rounds. Alexander showed great speed as he used the entire ring to put on a boxing clinic over Soto-Karass, who kept putting the pressure on Alexander. Despite being able to outbox Soto-Karass easily, Alexander found himself trading in the pocket for alot of the fight as well, taking some big shots from Soto-Karass and putting on a great show for the boxing spectators, who have always been a but hesitant to allow themselves to like Alexander's style of fighting. This fight may change some minds. Scores were 99-91, 99-91, and 97-93.
