Danny Garcia, Lamont Peterson headlines August 9th Barclay's Center card

Undefeated junior welterweight champion Danny Garcia (28-0, 16 KO’s) and fellow champion Lamont Peterson (32-2-1, 16 KO’s) will be headlining the August 9th Barclay’s Center card in separate bouts on Showtime. The date was originally scheduled to have Shawn Porter vs Kell Brook on the card as well but that fight is being pushed back to a later date. Neither opponent has been name for Garcia or Peterson, yet most fans can’t grasp the idea as to why they are not facing each other. 

Also on the televised card, Danny Jacobs (27-1, 24 KO’s) will be facing Jarrod Fletcher (18-1, 10 KO’s) in a middleweight title bout.
