Santa Cruz, Angulo likely to be on Mayweather-Maidana II undercard

We are four weeks away from the rematch between Floyd Mayweather and Marcos Maidana that will take place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, NV on Showtime PPV. The main questions regarding the September 13th showdown seem to be surrounding the undercard which has yet to be announced just one month before the fight. Rumors finally broke lately that undefeated Mexican sensation and WBC super bantamweight champion Leo Santa Cruz (27-0-1, 15 KO’s) will be the co-feature to Mayweather-Maidana. Santa Cruz is considered one of the future stars of the sport by some and he will be defending his title against an opponent yet to be determined.

Also, it's being said that the hard hitting Mexican and former world champion Alfredo Angulo (22-4, 18 KO’s) will make his return on the card as well against an opponent yet to be determined. There is speculation that he will take on James De La Rosa (22-2, 13 KO’s). Angulo is coming off a brutal beating at the hands of Saul Canelo Alvarez on March 8th and will look to rebound after losing back to back fights. Angulo was also defeated by Erislandy Lara last year.

To complete the PPV televised card, Miguel Vasquez (34-3, 13 KO’s) will defend the IBF lightweight title against Mickey Bey (20-1-1, 10 KO’s).
