Demetrius Andrade: If Canelo wants to fight the best he needs to fight me

WBO junior middleweight champion Demetrius Andrade (21-0, 14 KO’s) has been itching for a chance to step into the ring with Saul Canelo Alvarez. Right after Canelo’s controversial win over Erislandy Lara in July Andrade said that the line to fight Canelo next started behind him. Earlier today, Andrade continued his attempt to try to land a shot at Canelo.

“If canelo wants to fight the best and be the best he needs to fight Demetrius Andrade,” tweeted Andrade. Canelo’s team stated that James Kirkland, Joshua Clottey, and Demetrius Andrade were all in the running to face Canelo this November or December. Recent breakthrough’s though say that Clottey is the front runner to land the fight. Golden Boy doesn't seem interested in putting Canelo in with another moving southpaw any time soon.
