Andre Berto defeats Upsher with unanimous decision

Former world champion Andre Berto (29-3, 22 KO’s) returned to the ring after a 13 month lay off to win a unanimous decision over Steve Upsher Chambers (24-4-1, 6 KO’s). Scores were 99-91 in favor of Berto.

Berto’s speed and power didn’t miss a beat after a shoulder surgery last year following his upset loss to Jesus Soto-Karass. Establishing the jab from the opening bell, Berto was able to land at will with a tremendous accuracy rate of over %50 for the entire fight. Upsher landed some big shots on Berto however he was unable to hurt him. Berto got his jab working early and drilled hard right hands and upper-cuts almost at will against Upsher.
