This weekend, newly crowned WBC world middleweight champion Miguel Cotto defends against former two-time world champ Australian Daniel Geale @ Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Cotto will be making his first ring appearance of 2015, while Geale is looking to continue his comeback after being defeated by Gennady Golovkin last June. Miguel Cotto is coming off two consecutive wins over Argentine Sergio Martinez in June of 2014 and Delvin Rodriguez in October of 2014. Cotto is considered a small middleweight which would make him much faster than the larger natural middleweight Geale.
Daniel Geale comes in this Saturday’s from a 12RD UD over Jarrod Fletcher last December. Prior to the to the Fletcher fight, Geale was knocked out by Gennady Golovkin. Geale is a natural middleweight and will have the size advantage.
