Carl Frampton vs Alejandro Gonzalez Jr July 18 on CBS

British star Carl Frampton has just been given his first fight under new advisor Al Haymon. Frampton will make his PBC debut on July 18th when he takes on Alejandro Gonzalez Jr. in El Paso, TX. The fight will be televised Saturday afternoon on CBS.

Frampton (20-0, 14KOs) is coming off a 12-round decision win over Kiko Martinez last September in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Gonzalez (25-1-2, 15KOs) is coming off a win against Kevin Kelley by a 10R TKO .

"Alejandro Gonzalez Jr. is a dangerous challenger but he has never fought anyone like me and on July 18 he is in for a big, big shock. I feel I am the best junior featherweight in the world and I am excited to box in front of a huge television audience in the USA." said Frampton.

Also on the bill is Cornelius Bundrage, defending his 154lb title against unbeaten Houston native Jermall Charlo.
