Bundrage-Charlo Fight Delayed

Bundrage was set to take on Jermall Charlo July 18th as part of the recently announced PBC, Carl Frampton vs Alejandro Gonzalez Jr @ El Paso, TX on CBS. The bout has now been postponed as Bundrage suffered a deep cut during a Monday morning sparring session, requiring more than a dozen stitches. “I got cut in sparring today, I'm disappointed my fight is postponed. God is in control. I can only get stronger.” Bundrage announced on social media.

Cornelius Bundrage has not had much luck in his career. In his last fight he won the IBF World super welterweight title against Carlos Molina, Oct. 2014. However he has only fought once a year for the past few years. This is due to cancellations and other issues. So for now the fight is delayed and will be rescheduled. Charlo (21-0, 16KOs) will get to defend his title shot once the bout is rescheduled. The unbeaten contender from Houston is coming off of a 10-round UD over Michael Finney this past March in Las Vegas.
