Roy Jones Jr. Fighting Twice in August

Roy Jones Jr. is determined to get world titles in five weight classes. The 46-year old four-division world champion and future Hall of Famer will not give up. Jones, will fight August 15th vs (TBA), headline Knockout Season 2’s live fight card at the Foxwoods Hotel and Casino and will be broadcast live on Fuse/NuvoTV. Then again August 29th.

Jones, who has captured world titles as a middleweight, super middleweight, light heavyweight and heavyweight, is working his way towards a title shot at cruiserweight to complete the quinfecta. He is also scheduled to fight on August 29th (against Danny Santiago in Phillipsburg, St Maarten) and said that he loves keeping a busy schedule. “I am going to fight on Knockout on the 15th and then again on the 29th. I did two (fights) in March and I am liking how it feels so I am going to do two again in August and see how that feels. If I like how it feels then I will do it again maybe two or three weeks apart,” said Jones.

The end goal for Jones is to capture a cruiserweight title, which would make him the only fighter in history to win belts at every weight class from middleweight through heavyweight.
