Danny Garcia vs. Paulie Malignaggi on August 1st ESPN

According to Dan Rafael on his Twitter “Aug. 1 PBC on ESPN main event is done: @DannySwift vs. @PaulMalignaggi. Site is @barclayscenter. #boxing,”. If the information is correct and usually with ESPN it is Danny Garcia (30-0, 17 KOs) will be fighting former two division world champion Paulie Malignaggi (33-6, 7 KOs) on August 1st, ESPN - Premier Boxing Champions, @ the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

Malignaggi had other options to go over seas and fight. He was also schedule to fight May before he injured his eye in training. Malignaggi is coming off a TKO lost to Shawn Porter last April 2014. Before that he fought Zab Judah where he won and Adrien Broner, he lost by a close split decision.

Danny Garcia, is currently undefeated however has not looked that impressive in his last couple of fights. Many thought he lost to Lamont Peterson this past April and Mauricio Herrera in March 2014. Garcia did get the nod in both fights.
