Felix Verdejo batters Ivan Najera

Known as the hottest prospect in boxing, undefeated Puerto Rican sensation Felix Verdejo (18-0, 13 KO's) dominated previously unbeaten Mexican fighter Ivan Najera (16-1, 8 KO's) over ten rounds.

After a slow first round both fighter's came out fighting in the 2nd. Najera put the pressur on Verdejo making him fight backing up for the first couple rounds. The 4th round saw an explosion with Najera badly hurt but able to finish the round.

In the fifth, Verdejo had Najera badly hurt after dropping him with a beautiful uppercut but again, Najera was about to survive the round. A slow sixth round was followed up by an explosive 7th where Najera would once again taste the canvas from a Verdejo left hook. The last three rounds were dominated by Verdejo. Scores were 100-88, 100-88, and 99-89.
