This weekend Adrien Broner (30-1, 22 KOs) will be going up against the hard hitting Shawn Porter (25-1-1, 16 KOs) at a catch-weight of 144 pounds on NBC on Premier Boxing Champions at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. The fight card starts at 8:30 p.m. ET/ 5:30 p.m. PT. in a a schedule 12 bout. Tom Brown's TGB Promotions and Mayweather Promotions, who are putting on the card on behalf of PBC founder Al Haymon.
Porter outpointed Devon Alexander to win a world title in December 2013 and made one successful defense, a one-sided fourth-round knockout of former titleholder Paulie Malignaggi. Last August, he faced mandatory challenger Kell Brook of England and lost the belt by majority decision.
In Broner's last outing he won easily by outpointed John Molina on March 7th. Broner (30-1, 22 KOs), 25, a former three-division titleholder (welterweight, lightweight and junior lightweight), is 4-0 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
In the scheduled 10-round co-feature, elite welterweight prospect Errol Spence Jr., a 2012 U.S. Olympian, will face rugged Roberto Garcia.
