Flanagan Defeats Zepeda Wins WBO Lightweight Title

Terry Flanagan (28-0, 10 KOs) won by third round TKO over Jose “Chon” Zepeda (23-1, 20 KOs) Saturday night at the Velodrome in Manchester, England. Zepeda could not continue due to an injury to his left shoulder, the fight ended in the third round. This was Zepeda first professional lost. Flanagan claimed the vacant WBO lightweight championship.
