Newly signed Haymon fighter Carl Frampton may have let the cat of the bag last week in his media interview when he said Guillermo Rigondeaux (15-0, 10 KO's) is on the verge of signing with Al Haymon. Rigondeaux's current manager Gary Hyde admitted to Ringtv that their contract runs out earlier next year and Rigondeaux could end up signing with Haymon.
Rigondeaux is widely considered as one of the best fighter's in the world yet he has had a hard time getting the biggest names in his division to fight him. He's also having a hard time securing television time as HBO wants nothing to do with showing his fights. A move to Haymon would open the door for Rigondeaux to join the PBC broadcast and face guys like Leo Santa Cruz, Abner Mares, Carl Frampton, and more.
