Cruiserweight prospect Oleksandr Usyk (7-0, 7 KOs), will take on Johnny Muller (19-4-2, 13 KOs) in a scheduled 12-round fight for the WBO Inter-Continental cruiserweight title. The event will take place Satuday August 29th @ Sport Palace Kiev, Ukraine as part of K2 Promotions.
Oleksandr Usyk, 28, southpaw is coming off a win against Andrey Knyazev in April where he won by TKO in round eight. Johnny Muller recently won against Mateusz Masternak this past June by a close split decision, scores where judges: Siya Mani 95-93, Neville Holz 93-95, Cyphrian Noaba 95-93. Interesting that the fight was a SD when Muller was down in the 5th and 7th rounds.
"This is another test for Oleksandr. Muller is a tough, very experienced fighter with plenty of knockouts," said promoter Alexander Krassyuk of K2 Promotions Ukraine. "As he continues to fight and win impressively, Oleksandr's worldwide popularity continues to grow."
