Omar Figueroa will face Antonio DeMarco Sept. 26th

Omar Figueroa (25-0-1, 18KOs) is ready to take on Antonio DeMarco (31-5-1, 23KOs) on September 26th as part of the Premier Boxing Champions on NBC card featuring WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder in the main event.

Antonio DeMarco, recently retired from the sport of boxing this past June, after his fight against Rances Barthelemy where he lost by UD, scores: judges: Adalaide Byrd 89-99, Richard Ocasio 89-99, Burt A. Clements 89-99. DeMarco was dropped in round four. After the fight he announced his retirement from the ring. Before the Barthelemy fight he lost to Jessie Vargas.

Omar Figueroa is currently undefeated and coming off a UD win against Ricky Burns, this past May, scores: judges: Don Griffin 116-110, Cathy Leonard 116-110, Nelson Vazquez 117-109. Figueroa sports a 69% knockout ratio with one draw. This draw comes from early in his career against Arturo Quintero back in 2010.

Styles make fights and Figueroa-DeMarco are made for each other. This is going to be one bloody war which is not good news for DeMarco. He has shown a lot of wear in his young 29 year old body.
