Smith-Soro fight for the WBO super welterweight championship

Liam Smith will take on tough Michel Soro for the vacant WBO World super welterweight title Oct 10th as part of the Lee v Saunders fight bill @ Manchester Arena. The is a scheduled twelve round bout for the title.

Liam Smith is currently undefeated and last fought in April against David Ezequiel Romero where he won by TKO in seventh round. He's currently on a five bout knockout streak. Michel Soro, is also coming off four consecutive knockouts. In his last fight he won against Emanuele Blandamura by TKO in the 8th round. But his most notable win was against Glen Tapia this past May @ Prudential Center, Newark, New Jersey, USA. Soro shocked the boxing world by defeating Tapia within four rounds. Soro only has one lost on his record against Zaurbek Baysangurov back in 2012 by UD, scores: judges: Jose Ignacio Martinez 111-116, Zbigniew Lagosz 111-117, Mikael Hook 112-115.
