Austin Trout made the catch-weight of 156lbs. However Joey Hernandez was unable to make the weight limit of 156lbs, it took him three tries on scale to finally make the weight limit.

In a junior featherweight showdown between undefeated Jorge Lara (27-0-1, 19 KOs) and Jesus Rojas (21-1-1, 15 KOs). Lara came in at 123lbs and Rojas at 122.8lbs.
