Kell Brook vs Diego Chaves hits Showtime

The IBF welterweight title fight between Kell Brook and Diego Chaves has been picked up by Showtime. The fight is being held in the UK on October 24th. Showtime will be showing the event live at a time yet to be determined.

Brook was recently awarded the UK Fighter of the Year. Chaves is a tough veteran who has been in the ring with some of the best fighter's in his division. Chaves two losses came to Brandon Rios and Keith Thurman, and he has a draw with Timothy Bradley. Brook become the IBF champion with his victory over Shawn Porter last year and he defended the belt successfully twice since. The champion will be looking to make some new fans in the hopes of landing a mega fight. Brook has been mentioned as a possible opponent for Manny Pacquiao next. He's also had his eye set on Amir Khan. Should Pacquiao and Khan end up facing each other early next year it's likely that Brook would be in line to get the winner of that fight as long as he can keep on winning.
