WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley (33-1-1, 13 KO's) scored his first TKO victory since 2011 as he dominated Brandon Rios (33-3-1, 24 KO's) with a 9th round TKO. Bradley was sharp from the bell using his superior boxing skills to tag Rios for the entire fight. It was hard for any round to be scored for Rios. After the fight Rios stated that he might be done with boxing.
"I think I'm going to retire." Rios stated in the post fight interview. Emotions tend to run high right after big wins and losses so it remains to be seen if Rios will stick to his words.
Bradley was happy under new trainer Teddy Atlas. His future could involve Manny Pacquiao next however there are a variety of options for him if Pacquiao chooses to fight someone else. There were talks of fighting Canelo at 154 or maybe fellow welterweight champion Kell Brook.
