Vasquez-Martinez to co-feature Garcia-Guerrero

Undefeated prospect Sammy Vasquez (20-0, 14 KO's) will take on Aron Martinez (20-4-1, 4 KO's) January 23rd at the Staples Center in L.A. The fight will co-feature the Danny Garcia vs Robert Guerrero fight on PBC on Fox. The card is the first PBC card that Fox has shown and is part of a multiple fight deal.

Vasquez is considered a rising star in the division but will have his hands full come fight night. "I'm exciting to be fighting Aron Martinez and to be fighting on this big stage in a fight that I think the fans will really enjoy," said Vasquez. "This is just another stepping stone for me to move closer to my goal of fighting for a world title."

Martinez had a stellar 2015. In October he upset Devon Alexander and in June he lost a controversial split decision to Robert Guerrero. Many felt that Martinez should have gotten the nod over Guerrero. Martinez will look to play spoiler to another fighter's career.
