Verdejo crushes Dos Santos, Donaire wins war

Undefeated rising lightweight star Felix Verdejo (19-0, 14 KO's) made easy work of Josenilson Dos Santos (27-4, 17 KO's) earlier tonight on truTV live from Puerto Rico. Verdejo landed a huge right hand in the second round to send Dos Santos to the canvas. Dos Santos was unable to continue tabbing Verdejo as the victor with a 2nd round KO victory.

Opening the card we saw former world champion Nonito Donaire (36-3, 23 KO's) in an all out war with Cesar Juarez (17-3, 13 KO's). The Fight of the Year type fight saw Donaire come out as the victor by unanimous decision. Scores were 116-110 twice and 117-109. Donaire hurt Juarez early in the fight dropping him twice in the fourth. It appeared that Donaire was on his way to a shut victory but after the sixth round Juarez started to catch Donaire with punch after punch. Juarez looked to have Donaire hurt a few times late in the fight and Donaire's face was busted up as the rounds continued. However Donaire fired back big shots of his own to keep Juarez off him just enough for him to finish rounds, and eventually finish the fight.
