Saturday night on ESPN WBO welterweight champion and superstar Manny Pacquiao (59-6-2, 38 KO's) returns to the ring in Australia when he takes on the unknown but undefeated Jeff Horn (16-0-1, 11 KO's). The fight has been met with much criticism since being signed months ago. Pacquiao last fought in November of 2016 when he defeated Jessie Vargas in another fight that fans criticized.
Despite the public backlash of the fight, Top Rank's Bob Arum has done something abnormal to accommodate the U.S boxing fan base. The four card televised show will be shown live on ESPN, a network that is just getting back into showing Boxing, and a network that hasn't had a huge name like Manny Pacquiao fighting on it in decades. Arum is promising bigger fights, and better fights, with his new ESPN deal.
Regardless, this weekend Manny Pacquiao finds himself as a huge favorite once again as he takes on Jeff Horn. Here are the odds for this weekend's fight:
Manny Pacquiao -600
vs
Jeff Horn +400
The odds have went down. Pacquiao opened up at -1200 and Jeff Horn opened up at +600. Still, Horn's chances of victory are very low this weekend despite the fight being in his hometown in front of 50,000 fans
