Jake Paul knocks out AnEsonGib in professional debut

It was AnEsonGib's unique voice that dominated the lead-up to the fight, but it was Jake Paul's fists that ended the night in the battle of the YouTube stars.

AnEsonGib swung wildly and paid the price. A sweeping right dropped him to the floor. Paul then clipped AnEsonGib with a left hook while his back was on the ropes to cause the second knockdown. After getting familiar with the canvas, AnEsonGib was rattled with a right cross before referee Chris Young stopped the fight at 2:18 of the first round.

"That was lit," said Paul.

"I caught the boxing bug, I put the work in, and I'm in love with the sport," Paul added. "My power, my speed won in the first round."

To prepare for the fight, Paul trained in Big Bear, California with "Sugar" Shane Mosley, who was recently inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame.

"Y'all said this was my best competitor. He's got energy, he's got stamina, he's 'the Beast from the Middle East' -- and I silenced him in one round," Paul continued.

Paul is eyeing a fight against KSI, the YouTube personality who recently handed his older brother, Logan, his first loss as a pro in their much-hyped event in Los Angeles last November.

"KSI's going to get clocked next," Paul vowed. "You had to beat my bro by a bad call (decision)," he said to KSI, before the pair was separated by security.
