Brook vs Terence Crawford WBO welterweight world title

Kell Brook will face Terence Crawford for his WBO welterweight world title on Nov. 14th in Las Vegas, at MGM Grand Conference Center. In the co-main event, Joshua Franco will defend his WBA super flyweight title in a rematch with Andrew Moloney. The fight will take place on ESPN beginning at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT, while a full slate of undercard bouts will stream live on ESPN+ at 7:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. PT. The card won’t be pay-per-view.

THE ODDS

The odds at Canadian bookmaker Unibet are favoring Terence Crawford, opens as a 1/9 betting favorite, to underdog challenger Kell Brook at 5/1.

Kell Brook

Brook who is considered one of the best boxers of the present generation, has an amazing resume with opponents like Gennadiy Golovkin, Spence Jr and Shawn Porter. With Golovkin & Spence Jr only two losses on his record. However these fights where he broke his orbital bone back-to-back, makes us question if he is still the fighter he once was. Brook is on a three-fight winning streak, coming off a seventh-round TKO win over American Mark DeLuca. “I’ve been told there are people writing off my chances, questioning my age, and my ability to make the weight. Well, let them talk. Some people focus on reading headlines, I focus on making headlines." Brook recently stated in an interview.

Terence Crawford

Crawford (36-0, 27 KO) who is considered one of the top pound-for-pound fighters in the world. Many people in the boxing industry question his "pound for pound" he has yet to fight a top rank fighter and we never saw him in deep waters. This could just have run into issues in recent years with the top fighters being aligned with PBC. Crawford was linked to some potentially exciting fights with Manny Pacquiao and Shawn Porter, which would seem to indicate some bridges finally crossed between Top Rank

The WBO welterweight champion is coming off a ninth-round TKO win over Egidijus Kavaliauskas.

The Breakdown

Brook’s size and physicality could pose problems early, for Crawford. Crawford will have a definite advantage in the ring. His exceptional hand speed, movement, and counter-punching abilities will cause a lot of trouble for Kell Brook. I don't see Brook being able to handle Terence Crawford as the fight goes deep into the later rounds. I would not be surprised if Crawford stops Brook due to another injury.

The undercard has not been announced. Stay up to date on the full fight card.
