Vergil Ortiz Jr Dominates Hooker, Calls Out Terence Crawford

Vergil Ortiz Jr (17-0, 17 KO's) continued his 100% knockout streak be defeating Maurice Hooker (27-2-2, 18 KO's) Saturday Night in Fort Worth, TX. Ortiz Jr dominated most of the fight from the opening bell against a game Hooker that continued to trade blow for blow with Ortiz Jr at every exchange. Ortiz Jr's punches had more effect, landed more, and the body work from Ortiz proved to be too much for Hooker throughout the fight. The sixth round saw Hooker go down from a body shot. In the seventh round Hooker appeared to have injured his elbow thus causing the fight to be stopped.

Ortiz Jr, who is on a list of many upcoming fighters claiming to be the next big thing in Boxing, immediately called out Terence Crawford after the fight. When asked if he was ready Ortiz Jr replied "I don't care if I'm ready. That's the fight I want."
