WBO Welterweight champion Terence Crawford has been ordered to face former world champion Shawn Porter next, if he wishes to keep his title. Crawford, regarded as many as the best P4P fighter in the world, has lacked competition with a lackluster resume that has hindered his popularity in recent years. A fight against Porter would be his toughest fight to date. Porter will be looking to secure another world title after losing the WBC belt to Errol Spence Jr.
Terence Crawford's contract with Top Rank would be over after this fight. Crawford is expected to not re-sign with Top Rank which could open the door to many fights, including one with Errol Spence Jr...should they both win their next big fights.
A Crawford-Porter deal is expected to be reached.
