Canelo Alvarez is finalizing a deal to take on undefeated light heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol on May 7th, followed by a third fight against Gennady Golovkin on September 17th. The two fight deal with DAZN will see Canelo making north of $80 million. Alvarez would need to be Bivol in May in order for the Golovkin fight to happen. Golovkin himself would also have to win his next fight, which is supposed to take place sometime in May against the Ryan Murata.
It will be the first time since 2017 that Canelo will go back to fighting on Mexican holiday weekends in the same year.
