Otto Wallin to face Olguin on January 27

Heavyweight contender Otto Wallin (24-1, 14 KO’s) will stay busy when he meets Helaman Olguin (9-4-1, 4 KO’s) in an eight round fight on Friday, January 27 at the Castleton in Windham.

Wallin has been rebuilding his career since losing a competitive unanimous decision to current WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KO’s) in 2019.

A victory in New Hampshire against Olguin could potentially lead to bigger fights in the coming months. Wallin has been pushing to land names such as Deontay Wilder (43-2-1, 42 KO’s) and Anthony Joshua (24-3, 22 KO’s).

Wallin is currently world ranked by the WBO at #3, by the WBC at #9, and by the IBF at #12.

Wallin is trained by Joey Gamache (55-4, 38 KO’s) of Lewiston, who will be in his corner on January 27.

Wallin’s opponent Olguin is coming off a draw against the undefeated Rodney Hines (12-0-1) in his last outing. In 2020, he earned national acclaim by defeating the previously undefeated Adam Stewart (8-0-1 entering that bout) in a nationally televised fight from Las Vegas on ESPN in the pandemic era “Top Rank bubble” at MGM Casino.
