The third installment of the acclaimed "Rising Stars Arabia" professional boxing series, dedicated to showcasing emerging Arab talents on a global stage, is set to take place on Saturday, March 2nd, amidst the scenic backdrop of the Yas Links Golf Course in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
"Rising Stars Arabia 3" will be broadcast live on DAZN, ESPN Knockout, and Abu Dhabi Sports TV, commencing at 8 p.m. UAEST, promising an evening of thrilling matchups.
Following the resounding success of the first two RSA events held on September 9, 2023, and January 13, fans eagerly anticipate the return of the series, eagerly anticipating the discovery of more hidden gems and promising prospects from the region.
In the main event, Moroccan super featherweight Jaouad "The Moroccan Bomber" Belmehdi (19-1-3, 9 KOs) squares off against the undefeated Alfred Lamptey (13-0, 9 KOs), the top-ranked Ghanaian and African star, in a compelling 10-round battle.
Belmehdi, a former French Lightweight Champion, enters the ring on a three-fight winning streak, boasting victories over notable opponents such as James Chereji (17-1), Sebri Sediri (13-1-1), and Meyyl Vegas (19-2). Meanwhile, Lamptey, at just 21 years old, holds impressive accolades as the former WBC Youth Silver, WBO Youth, and Ghana super featherweight champion.
The Rising Stars Arabia (RSA) series, the pioneering initiative in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, is officially sanctioned by the Middle East Professional Boxing Commission. Thanks to the vision and efforts of promoter Ahmed Seddiqi, Arab talents are finally receiving the recognition they deserve on the global stage.
In the co-featured event, local favorite Fahad "Kid Emirati" Al Bloushi (13-1, 3 KOs) puts his 12-fight win streak on the line against Venezuelan lightweight Andres Garcia (14-7-1, 11 KOs), promising an electrifying showdown for the spectators.
Other exciting matchups on the card include undefeated UAE super flyweight Sultan Al Nuaimi (10-0, 6 KOs) facing off against Eliu Canario (14-3, 11 KOs) in a 10-round bout, and promising Iraqi light heavyweight prospect Amer Kadhum Ghaneem (3-0, 1 KO) taking on WBC Asian Continental Super Middleweight Champion Wulamu Tulake (11-3-1, 6 KOs) of China in a challenging encounter.
Among the undercard bouts, the highlight is a 10-round welterweight clash between Egyptian welterweight Abdumonem "Braveheart" Said (23-3-1, 11 KOs), a former Egyptian Super Welterweight Champion, and undefeated Indian Faizan Anwar (16-0, 8 KOs), promising fireworks in the ring.
